BED & BREAKFAST IN FRANCE

Le Foulon is more than just a chambres d'hotes or an auberge - the French term for an Inn. Bed & breakfast (chambre d'hote) in France isn't quite what it is in the UK - in Britain you're guaranteed something naff, whilst in France it's much more hit and miss! Some properties are superb, offering good value accommodation, whilst others offer a cold room above a chicken coop.

An auberge is more like your traditional British b&b, although the food is almost always going to be far superior, as only the French know how. But like everything the quality varies hugely, and some are very comfortable and good value, whilst others are best left alone. Le Foulon aims to combine the friendliness that many of these properties have in their favour, with the facilities and space of a hotel.
