This is a wonderful way to get to the South of France. True, it can get quite busy with sightseeing traffic through the summer, but that's for a very good reason - the sights are well worth seeing!

/ We'll direct you from the Route Napoleon where the N202 branches left to Nice. From here continue straight on towards Grasse and Cannes on the N85 Route Napoleon.

/ Continue for 51kms (31.6miles), through the pretty town of Castellane, until you reach a crossroads just after you enter the Department 'Alpes Maritimes'. The crossroads is marked by a small fruit and vegetable shop on your right, a sign for the 4 Star Chateau Taulane and the Restaurant Lavendre on your left.

/ At these crossroads turn left towards St. Auban and Gréolières on the D2211.

/ After just 2.2kms (1.5 miles) take the first right hand turning to Gréolières on the D2. Continue all the way on this road to Gréolières (but after 20kms/12.4miles check out the view over the near vertical drop on your right - looking down the valley, in the direction you're travelling, you'll see Le Foulon standing out against the greenery at the far end).

/ Carry on down this breathtaking stretch of road (this is where John Frankenheimer shot the car chase in his film Ronin and where James Bond raced his Aston Martin against a Ferrari) and through Gréolières and a mini roundabout direction Nice. 3kms downhill from Gréolières there is a proper roundabout - take the 2nd exit direction Nice/Gourdon/Gorges du Loup.

/ After a further 1km you will pass a small tower on your right with a "Le Foulon" sign and then a further 150 metres on your right is our driveway. It's a little tricky and you will have to take 2 swings at pulling into the drive which doubles back on you. Continue straight down the drive, ignoring the left turn half way down, and you have arrived.
