Le Foulon is a large traditional country house with 13 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, beautifully located around 35 minute's drive from Nice Cote d'Azur Airport, into the rural mountains of provence, providing whole house rentals for groups.

Le Foulon is a big property, which is exactly what you want when holidaying with a large group. The house covers 700m2 with a very large lounge, bar and dining space, a separate library and conservatory space and a massive garden: these are the ingredients for a stress-free break.

We have 13 bedrooms, 10 with en suite bathrooms and an extra double shower room for the remaining three. Not having to wait for someone in the bathroom in the morning makes for a happy holiday. Just as important is the hiddden benefit of the bathrooms and plumbing all being installed when we renovated the house and were specified to deal with a large group of people all getting up at the same time. We heat a staggering 1,700 litres of hot water in a series of tanks, zoned to deal with each bathroom. Don't ask us what our energy bills are like, but it's an essential cost to ensure no one finds the hot water has run out when they're the last out of bed.

Talking of hot water, with solar assistance the swimming pool is kept at a very comfortable 26 degrees between May and towards the end of October; if you want something a little more invigorating, go for a swim in the mountain water flowing down the River Loup. It will take your breath away!

If you like cooking, or know a friend that does, then you've come to right place. The large professional kitchen can cope with preparing meals for large groups. It's very well equipped and with most things super-sized cooking for a larger number of people becomes a pleasure and not a chore. We spent too many holidays in rental gites with one blunt knife and a couple of aluminium pans to inflict that on our guests. You can read about the cooking facilities in more detail here.

Dining at Le Foulon happens both indoors and out. The huge dining room can be  configured for mutiple tables or one long table for all, or perhaps you want a separate table for the youngsters... all is possible. Outdoors is a sizeable dining and BBQ area with seating for all and if you want a picnic, then the grounds are full of possibilities.

Indoors we're proud of the conservatory and library, offering peace when you need a quieter space away from the throng. One of our favourite times at Le Foulon is early evening when people are appearing showered and fresh after a siesta, ready for drink before dinner. The bar and lounge area comes alive with chat and giggles, whilst the 'brigade' clatter pans in the kitchen and helpers set the table and uncork the wine.
