Mia and NickNick & Mia, Where Are You?

We live in a completely separate building within the grounds of Le Foulon, about 50M from the main house. Unless you need us, after checking you in we'll stay very much in the background during your stay.

For guests that like the security of knowing someone's there to help if needed and some other guests simply want to pick our brains about the area and how we ended up in Gréolières from London, they can contact us at any time by phone, text or whatsapp. We also offer Shopping and Chef Services for those that would like to engage our help.

We respect our guests privacy as well as their right to make as much noise as they like at whatever hour!

 Mosquito-Free

Le Foulon is very lucky to not suffer from mosquitoes. Sure, you may experience the odd one or two, but these seem to have blown in from elsewhere. To be able to sleep with a window open, letting in the cool night air and the sound of the river, sends you off into a deep and undisturbed sleep.

We're not sure of the science behind our bite-free advantage as even the village just 4kms away has it's fair share. Perhaps it's because all the water here is fairly fast flowing year round? Or maybe the temperature in mid-winter drops enough to kill the larvae? Who knows, but what's for certain is that not having to deal with mosquitoes on a hot summer holiday is a real bonus.

Voltage in France is the same as the UK (230V and a frequency of 50Hz) so equipment and chargers etc. from the UK will work as normal, but you do need to bring Euro plug adaptors as three pin UK plugs will not fit.

 Sunshine v1 80pxTemperature

Like the Cote d'Azur Le Foulon enjoys a great year round climate. In summer the days are just as hot as the nearby coast (only 30 minutes drive), but in the evening the temperature up here in the mountains cools off a little, allowing you a great night's sleep. You can leave the windows open if you like, and let the babble of the River Loup help you drift off. As we are at altitude, make sure you bring enough sunscreen, especially for any youngsters as the UV can be quite strong.

The drinking water at Le-Foulon is totally potable and recognised as being of high quality. You can clean teeth and drink the water in all the rooms.

 Wi-Fi All Over

Le Foulon has a robust wi-fi network that covers all of our rooms and public areas. With the robust traditional nature of the building, getting signals throughout has not been easy! Not quite so good is the lack of a fibre connection so if every guest tries to stream video at the same time things slow-down, but we have not had any complaints. A fibre connection has been promised in the near future so fingers crossed.
