The Fablo Fernando Luxury Room is bathed in natural light, thanks to its double-aspect layout with large windows facing both south and west, inviting in the morning and evening sun.
The focal point is a classic French carved mahogany bed, an original piece discovered and meticulously restored. It's perfectly paired with a beautiful walnut veneered wardrobe, featuring elegant curved sides and a prominent central mirror. Both treasures were salvaged from used furniture stores and given a new lease on life. The generously sized bathroom maintains this traditional charm, offering a large shower alongside a magnificent antique roll-top bath, which was rescued from a garden and lovingly brought back to its former glory.
We named this room the Fablo Fernando Luxury Room after one of its owners from the interwar period. We're confident he'd recognise the original 'Tommette Provencal' tiled floor that we carefully preserved. With the combination of antique furniture and the impressive Rococo-style bed, we believe Fablo would find this room exceptionally comfortable.
History
We named this large room after a former Spanish owner of Le Foulon. Fablo presided over the domain in the thirties, and judging by an inscription in one of the patio stones at the front of the building he was responsible for the fantastic courtyard setting that remains solid to this day.
It reads "1939. RECUERDO DE LOS ESPANOLES" and was presumably inscribed by a proud workman, no doubt one of the many fleeing Franco's Spain.
